All Donkeys are 100% AMMD unless otherwise noted and are sold with:
- Fertility and height guarantees
- A live foal guarantee and service certificate (if they are sold as in-foal)
- DABSA Registration
- Vaccinated
- Wormed
- Micro-chipped
- Halter trained
We also offer advice and post-purchase support and ask for first refusal should you decide you decide
to sell any of the donkeys you buy from JOY Miniature Donkey Stud.
JOY’s Code of Ethics
- We do not wean foals before the age of 6 months, (unless there is a medical reason to do so), as foals thrive on both the nutrition and discipline they get from their mothers, and we are not interested in stunting the foal’s growth by weaning them early.
- We do not breed Jennies before the age of 3 as we seek to prolong the breeding life of the Jenny and are not interested in stunting the Jenny’s growth.
- We do not breed our Jennies on foal heat as we prefer to allow the Jenny time to recover after the birth and seek to avoid the stress on the Jenny of feeding one foal while carrying another.
With one of the largest herds of 100% American Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys in Australasia, including 11 imported from USA and NZ, we are able to offer outstanding American Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys unrelated to the majority of those in Australia and New Zealand. We have new foals being born all year round. We specialise in helping new miniature donkey studs become established and offer discounted breeding packages and after sales support.

50% AMMD Jack Foal If you want small and cute Napoleon is the perfect pet for you. Whilst he is only 50% AMMD he is one of the smallest foals born at our stud this year with a birth height of only 19". Napoleon will be available when weaned in April 2012. $3,300 (incl. gelding)

JOY's Monte Carlo

50% AMMD Jack Foal Taranganba Maisie (dam of exceptional jennies Marquasite and Markeeta), has produced an outstanding black roan jack foal by GM In Black n White. Maisie's foals tend to mature at 35-36" and this larger size means Monte Carlo will be a versatile donkey in both conformation and performance classes, as he could be ridden by older children than our smaller minis can. He is stocky and correct with a lovely temperament - a donkey you will have a lot of fun with. He is offered as a gelding only because he is 50% AMMD. If he were 100% AMMD he would be retained here as a herd sire. $2750 (incl. gelding) |
